“From your Chrome Browser, access the ROG Action Center at https://www.gorog.co/ROG-action-center & from here you can pick either the ROG Partner Portal (for sales & marketing materials) or what we want in this case, to access your customer’s cameras via ROG Monitor.

Remember that everyone in your company may not have both a ROG Monitor ID and a ROG Partner Portal ID, depending upon their role in the company.

With ROG, it’s easy to define the period when our artificial intelligence service is to watch over your office, facility, business, campus, or organization, such as after the day’s business hours. But when your location (or that of your customer) will be closed for one or more days outside normal operation such as during a weekday holiday, the location’s normal rhythm will also change. Often there won’t be any people who are authorized to be present during this period, so your ROG SmartAlert™ triggers should be adjusted to capture any intruders.

There is an easy ROG solution to address this security challenge by using “Away Mode”.

From your Chrome Browser, access the ROG Action Center at https://www.gorog.co/ROG-action-center & from here you can pick either the ROG Partner Portal (for sales & marketing materials) or what we want in this case, to access your customer’s cameras via ROG Monitor.

Remember that everyone in your company may not have both a ROG Monitor ID and a ROG Partner Portal ID, depending upon their role in the company.  You need the credentials in this case just for the ROG Monitor site.

For future use, you can also save the link to go directly to ROG Monitor, which is https://prod1.monitor.gorog.co/#/login to bypass the intermediate ROG Action Center step. Or you can log in to ROG Monitor if you lose the link from the LOGIN tab at the far right of any page on the ROG website. (To log in to the ROG Partner Portal without the link, you’ll find it’s login in the bottom-of-page menu.)

Log into the ROG Monitor Service with your credentials as usual.

For your first ROG Camera Group, click on the gear icon for “Camera Group Settings”. You’ll see it in the upper right corner of your screen.

Toggle the “Away Mode” switch at the top of your screen to “on” (it will turn blue). This will set a temporary override to your existing silence windows for ROG SmartAlerts.

For example, if you currently have a silence window set for your normal business hours of 8 AM to 7 PM, that window is now suspended so that you will be alerted to intruders during that period. Click “Save”.

If you have multiple camera groups, simply select each individually & repeat the Away Mode process.

When you return after the holiday or other closure exception period, follow the same process to switch Away Mode off again.

That’s it… except to enjoy your holiday!
